SpeedTouch Home:

Q. Is the SpeedTouch Home model still available?
A. The SpeedTouch Home model can no longer be purchased. While this model remains in service in many places, it has been superseded by the SpeedTouch 530 which includes routing capabilities and a USB input.

Q. Are spare parts such as power supplies and installation CD-ROMs available for SpeedTouch Home?
A. No.

Q. Can SpeedTouch Home modems be re-configured to use with a service other than BigPond?
A. These items were supplied with a connection setup specifically for Telstra BigPond. The User Manual is on the Support Page, and other relevant information may be found on the Links pages

SpeedTouch 510/530

Q. My SpeedTouch is password-protected and I've forgotten the password.
A. You need to re-set the unit to factory defaults. The RESET procedure is available as a .pdf file extracted from the User Manual on the Support page.
**Don't confuse the SpeedTouch System password with your ISP User ID/Password.** It is recommended NOT to activate the SpeedTouch password without good reason.

Q. How does the SpeedTouch connect to an ISP?
A. Download the zip file called 'Config Profiles', from Support, and read the FAQs.

Q. Where do I find the SpeedTouch Web interface?
A. You can open your SpeedTouch configuration application in a browser window at address http://10.0.0.138. Be sure you are directly connected - not connected through a Firewall or Proxy Server.
